Bio:

Alec
"Make me Your Cannibal."
Name: Alec
Age/DOB: 199/Unknown
Height: 4'11
Sexuality: Indifferent (Alec was turned before puberty had really set in, and thus a great deal of the urges that come with maturity have never really fully awoken in him. He and his sister are very physical - hugging and touching - but beyond that he's shown little interest. He's seen the way that vampires tend to pair off, but as neither he or Jane has, he for the most part thinks perhaps they're already linked more deeply than anyone else will compete with. He's experimented with both males and females, but for the most part found both lacking, though decent for an occasional way to pass the time.)
Affiliation: Vampire, a guard of the Volturi
Family:
Sister - Jane (Jane is Alec's twin, and there is a great deal of resemblance between the two. They possess the same doll-like beauty and features, save for Alec's shorter hair and slightly less-full lips. Alec is very close to his sister, and she is his foremost loyalty. He also tends to take his cues from her.)
Extended Family - The Volturi (While not the same sort of family as the Cullens, the Volturi do maintain a certain amount of civility and are all very familiar with one another. Because of his and Jane's powers, they are both considered fairly high on the Volturi-food-chain, so to speak - they command a great deal of respect. Alec's greatest loyalty is to Aro, but he does not think of himself as close to anyone save Jane.)

Appearance: Alec is slight and lean, lithe and fey with short dark hair, full lips - slightly less than his sister's, and porcelain-pale skin. He is unfailingly beautiful with wide, red eyes and an aura of fragility. There is a dreamy quality to his expression, and to his eyes - like he is always just a little further away than most people. It is deceptive, though, as Alec very rarely misses much. He looks very much like his sister - both of them doll-like with similar features, though Alec is perhaps just a shade taller, and his hair is cut short where hers is long. He moves with impossible grace, and like all vampires, he smells pleasant and inviting - to humans, anyway. His speaking voice is forever trapped between the deep tones of a man, and the high sweetness of a boy, though without the awkward cracking that comes naturally at that age, the result is a somewhat androgynous, smooth-sounding voice, higher than a man, but lower than most girls.
"Make me Your Product and I Will Make you Rich."
Personality:
Alec was, even as a human, dreamy-eyed and oddly aware. He was one of those overly-perceptive people who saw what everyone tried to hide. He had an uncanny ability to talk himself out of trouble, or to just do things and somehow people wouldn't notice. He was a sunny, easy-going and somewhat scatter-brained child.

All of that didn't precisely vanish when he was turned into a vampire, but most of it leeched away. He is a steel-tempered version of himself, dark and a little sadistic - though not so much as his sister, nor so blatant about it - where he used to be open and helpful. He doesn't remember anything about his former nature, really, so he doesn't miss it. Even his early memories as a vampire are somewhat fuzzy.

He can still be somewhat scattered, and because of it he's less of a leader than his twin. He is capable of great focus, though, and his abilities as well as his own nature make him highly observant. Alec might not seem to be paying any attention, but chances are he knows a great deal more than he lets on.

He is a people-watcher - fascinated by the psyche of humans and vampires alike. What drives them, what they fear, what they hate, what they love. (The joint-mind of the werewolves will fascinate him to no end once he knows of it, and he would love to turn one, to see if they retain their abilities, but wouldn't without permission.)

He is loyal to the Volturi, and to Aro, but he is close to no one but Jane, really. And of the two, Jane is the one who leads, and Alec follows, for the most part. He's not weak-willed, he just sees no reason to argue, most of the time. He lacks Jane's temper when thwarted, and doesn't have the sheer sadistic joy in his powers that she takes from hers.

He is, like all vampires and the Volturi in particular, a predator. He sees people as little more than animals - albeit very interesting animals. The Volturi habit of herding people in like cattle to be devoured doesn't entirely appeal to him, though he partakes on occasion. He likes to know his prey more - hunt them himself, even if they're easy kills.

He is not entirely inhuman, even if he isn't a human. He has his flaws - an attraction to games, fast things and high tech toys. He has an alarming addiction to theme parks and roller coasters, one of the few things he ever argues with Jane about is dragging her to them when they are traveling. And though he is a predator and a hunter - there are sometimes faint hints of mercy in him, though they are rarely seen and few known of them.

Abilities:
Alec is a vampire, with all the abilities that come inherent with that. Speed, strength, inhuman beauty and allure, a venomous bite, and greatly enhanced senses. In addition Alec, like his sister, possesses a unique gift. Alec has the power to remove people's senses, their desire to fight back - to leave them deaf, dumb, blind, and without the will to realize it His power manifests as a incandescent creeping mist, only barely visible. No one has ever been able to thwart Alec save Bella Swan.
"It's Still Fashionable, Isn't it? All This Time it's Been Killing you."
History:
Very little is known about Alec and Jane's early life. If you asked them, it's not likely they could tell you - it's been nearly two hundred years, and they were young and traumatized when turned, after all. It's even less likely they'd tell you, even if they could.

Born near the Volturi home city of Volterra, the presence of the vampires there, or just peasant superstitions, left the locals uneasy and volatile. The twins were always somewhat odd - gifted, perhaps. Even as a human child, Alec had a slightly eerie tendency to know just what someone didn't want to hear - or what they did want to hear an uncanny, but human, ability to know when they wouldn't notice a prank or a stolen apple. Alec could stand right in front of someone, and yet they wouldn't seem to notice what he did. Perhaps it was that, or maybe it was his sister's oddities, or perhaps they were just easy scapegoats - Alec doesn't know, and doesn't care. Whatever the reason, they were trussed up and bound when they were barely into their teens, tied at the stake and set to be burned alive.

The Volturi, however, had heard of the twins, kept and eye on their growth, and interceded. Aro, the leader of the Volturi, rescued the two, and changed them into vampires.

With their newfound powers - and hungers - and under the tutelage of the Volturi, Alec developed his own power. In the beginning, he had less control and a good deal less power - but it was a less pointed ability. He could make people blind, but not deaf, or deaf but not blind. He could make them not feel pain from wounds, but they would still see them. It wasn't an innately evil gift. But as he settled in with the Volturi, he began to warp slowly, growing darker. More sadistic, perhaps. And his powers increased - but narrowed, too, until he could rob people of all their senses and free will without the more pleasant aspects he could tap into to start with.

He and Jane became a part of the fabled Volturi guard, their abilities helping to make them all but invincible. They were feared, respected, and catered to. While Alec wasn't known for using his powers casually as often as his sister, the other vampires, save the elders, swung well clear of him as well as Jane.

For well over a hundred years, Alec has been with the Volturi. He has left the city only under their orders.

While he knows and deals with all of the Volturi, it is to Aro that his deepest loyalties lie - aside from Jane, who is his other half. And while he would have stayed behind if told, he was grateful that when Jane was sent to the Cullens, he was as well. He is not fond of separating from his twin, and Jane was still smarting from Edward's little human's ability to thwart her powers. (Likely his as well, though Alec didn't test it while she was there. It wasn't any matter - he could use them on Cullen just as well and turn him against his own little lover, if it came to that.) He didn't want to leave her alone. Not that Jane couldn’t take care of herself. He just preferred to be there.

When the full force of the Volturi was thwarted, the vendetta against the half-vampire child not changing anything, Alec returned with Aro and Jane. But he found himself restless. Curious about the Cullens and the half-vampires, about the shapeshifters who hadn't been real werewolves. About a lot of things. When they were told they would be sent back to Forks again, Alec was pleased. The threat of real Children of the Moon possibly being there didn't bother him - they would be interesting, if nothing else.
